Course Overview:

The CPPCBC4022 – Supervise Tilt-Up Work course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to supervise tilt-up construction activities safely and in compliance with Australian building codes and work health and safety (WHS) regulations. This unit is designed for supervisors and site managers responsible for overseeing the erection, propping, bracing, and structural integrity of tilt-up panels during construction projects.

Course Content:

Upon completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications, and erection documentation

  • Plan, monitor, and coordinate tilt-up construction activities on-site

  • Assess risk and implement hazard control measures specific to tilt-up operations

  • Supervise panel installation, temporary bracing, and safe load handling

  • Identify faults in panel manufacture, alignment, or bracing and take corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and safe work method statements (SWMS)

  • Communicate effectively with workers, crane operators, and subcontractors

  • Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate supervision records

Course Requirements:

Participants must be over the age of 18 and possess sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills to read technical documents and complete site records. A valid form of identification is required. Prior experience in construction supervision or a relevant qualification is recommended.
